Fabulous 1/3 page full color ad for Van Raalte Seamed Nylons 'Because You Love Nice Things', published in the October 1951 Ladies Home Journal (page 144). Three lovely 30-something models of different heights are seated on a stone bench, side by side, elegantly dresses in Jane Derby suits and the finest accessories, their long silky legs adorned in Van Raalte stockings and black pumps. The ad notates 'Petite, Tall or In Between...No nylons fit like Van Raalte nylons'. There is also a insert photo of a pair of beautiful hands displaying the exclusive FLEXTOE of the stocking, allowing for 'extra wiggle room' and 'better fit, comfort and longer wear'. A super stocking ad to frame or to become an addition to a collection of Eames-era fashion ads, it is in Excellent-Near Mint condition. Shipping in a rigid sleeve for safety (no rolling).
