1920 CHERUBS Cupid Sterling Silver Putti Demi-Parure~BOOK SET

Beautifully crafted dated 1920 Silver demi-parure, all three of the Cupid Cherubs or Putti signed 'Sterling'. This exact set is shown on page 26 of Nancy Schiffer's jewelry guide, 'Silver Jewelry Treasures'. The set has a 2 3/8" sculptural brooch, the pinset with a slight curve at the top end that does not affect the closing function (mechanically perfect). The locking mechanism was upgraded in the 1940s, the open C-clasp mechanism replaced with a locking barrel end to prevent loss of the brooch (professionally done and nearly indiscernible). The matching screw back earrings are signed 'Sterling' on the thumb end and measure 1 1/8". The Sterling finish has light patina, and it has settled into the creases beautifully. All three pieces are in Near Mint condition, with no flaws or wear.
