Delicate dated 1930 vintage Art Deco gilded potmetal buckle, the center set with genuine oval Lapis cabochon. Each side of the buckle measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/4", connecting under the cabochon, with the ornate design a lacy filigreed effect. The front of the buckle has just enough of the gilding to create richness, clinging to the etching in a most fetching way. The back is signed 'Made in Czecho Slovakia' on one of the buckle bands, and the date '30' on the other. It is in Excellent condition, with no wear or scratching to the Lapis and age-appropriate patina to the finish. It is a rare 'find', acquired from a fine Scottsdale Arizona estate.
