A fine and stunning original oil on board painting signed “G. Raymond.” This work measures 17 x 14 ¾ inches and is housed in what appears to be the original period frame. This is an original oil painting on canvas laid on board. Signed in the lower right corner. Very finely detailed brushwork. A very nice impressionistic style. Great looking scene of several sailboats along a shoreline. The condition of this work is very good. Recently obtained from a Northern Ohio estate. Based on the technique and materials, this work dates to the early 20th century and is American. In all, an excellent nautical / seascape painting worthy of a quality collection.
