An excellent example of this important 20th Century American woman artist’s work. Titled “Variante” (from the mountains series) on the back. This is an original acrylic painting that is well framed in a period contemporary style frame. Signed in the lower right hand corner. This painting measures 14 5/8 x 20 inches (actual painting). This appears to be an Acrylic painting on thick heavy cardboard. The painting is great shape and is ready to hang in your home, office, or gallery. Nice bright and vivid colors. Stunning to view. According to the information I received from the previous owner, this painting was one of several paintings by the artist remaining in her studio until a few years ago. The painting remained with a member of the family until early 2004 when the entire collection was sold. A fantastic opportunity to add to your abstract expressionism / modern art collection. Looks even better in person. Gehr is listed in all major art reference volumes including Who Was Who in American Art (FALK). Biographical information is listed below: Who Was Who in American Art (Falk)
