Offering this fine original acrylic painting on wood panel (masonite) by Atlanta artist Clint Carter. The work is dated 1960 and is executed with a distinct abstracted style popular at that time. Signed and dated by the artist in the lower left corner. The painting measures 15 x 12 inches unframed, 22 ¾ by 19 ¾ framed. The frame appears to be an artist made frame and is original to the painting. Both the frame and the painting are in excellent condition. Although there is little information available about Clint Carter, we have learned that he was from the Atlanta area and was a member of an "underground" group of artists. Carter may have taught painting at a YMCA in Atlanta. This is an exceptional work with a great look and feel.
