In all my years in finding coral necklaces, this is the first I have found of this kind.
Made in Europe during the late Victorian era (1880s) this hallmarked 835 silver necklace features "love knots" spaced by small 3mm beads of orange coral. Measuring 14-3/4" long, the necklace was more than likely made for a child or very small necked adult. Lengthening is possible with just a bit of chain added to the end jump ring.
Condition is perfect with a dark patina to the silver - I have not polished. Closure is a simple spring clasp with a matching jump ring bearing the 835 silver hallmark. A wonderful piece of Victorian sentimental jewelry proclaiming with every know - I LOVE YOU!
