Dating to the early 1900s, this gold filled award pin/award medal has the name "Wm. Dreyer" engraved at the top. Hanging from the pin is a hand carved bone or ivory (I know not which) depiction of a lyre among laurel leaves and tied with a bow at the bottom.

The pin top shows a touch of verdigris meaning the piece needs to be cleaned. The bone/ivory base is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks or parts missing. The entire piece measures 1-3/8" long x 1-1/8" wide.

Leave the pin as is or take off the bottom charm and use in another way. Oh, and the piece was probably a music award presented to Mr. Dreyer. Isn't it wonderful! They just don't take the time to make pieces like this anymore!
