Back from London Loaded with New Goodies! Have Fun Looking! Christmas is Coming.....
AGE: Antique Victorian to Edwardian period (late 1800s to early 1900s)
CONTENT: Ivory setting; possibly an 800/900 silver center though I suspect it coud be a nice silverplate.
SIZE: 2-5/16" wide x 3-3/8" high (to top of ring)
WEIGHT: N/A
CONDITION: Very nice. There is a small crack at the top edge on the reverse of the piece. The top ball of the piece would have unscrewed to allow the cherub to be removed. However, it appears to now be "glued in place" as residue clear glue is apparent at the top. Very minor occurrences due to age and can definitely be hidden with a bit of ribbon.
That's it. A nice depiction of Raphael's Angel that can be hung amid a religious collection or placed in a nursery. (Please view the other piece I have that features a colored print of The Virgin Mary; these pieces came in all different designs)!
Anyone want?
