Back from London Loaded with New Goodies! Have Fun Looking! Christmas is Coming.....
Here I have a gold filled/rolled gold brooch with two "ball" drops suspended from the center "chain" section. The pin/brooch measures 2" x 1-1/8" and is in excellent condition for its Antique Victorian age. There is a bit of darkening to the piece - quite normal - and the gold is in two tones - bright yellow and pale rose. A light polish may bring up a shine but I do not know.
The pin is composed of an interesting array of shapes and has a a safety catch at the back to hold the pinstem in place. There is a side safety ring on the back of the pin so that a guard might be added. Maker's marks are apparent on the back and read "P.S. Co." for the Plainville Stock Company- Providence, Rhode Island.
Separately, just so much interesting memorabilia - but together - a pin that one can appreciate knowing that it has a photographed history.
Anyone want?
