Vintage AMERICAN LEGION 14K Gold, Enamel & Diamond "Past Commander" Pin!

Weighing a hefty 5.4 grams (without screw back) and featuring a center 4 pt diamond (tested), this vintage 14K gold screwback pin would have been presented to a retiring member of the Legion. With the French caption "Grand Chef de Gare" at the top, the pin also bears the 40/8 fraction at the bottom as well as Past Commander and American Legion done in gold surrounded by blue and white enamel. They sure don't make them like this anymore (and if they did it would cost a fortune!)

Measuring 1-3/16" x 1/2" the pin is hallmarked 14K on the reverse; no engraving. The piece does have a screw nut for the back for proper security when worn on a lapel. Condition is perfect with absolutely no defects I can see.
