NEW MARKDOWNS! Come in and Take a Look! Christmas is Coming!
Made of gold filled metal (tested), this 1" x 1" brotherhood pin was made for the "St. Louis Plattduetsche Club" and is dated 1871! At the very top of the pin are "hands shaking" and below that a banner which reads "Jungens Holt Fast". Translation? Well, without pulling out dictionary it soundes like "Hands Hold Fast." And below the banner are two enamelled flags - one I suspect as being German and the other of the Old Glory itself.
The pin is in excellent condition with absolutely no defects that I can spot. Simple c-catch at the back - no manufacturer's marks. What's interesting is that the back of the pin is yellow gold colored while the front is rose gold colored! I suspect that the top of the pin has a layer of 10K gold over a gold filled content. The pin weighs 2.2 grams and is, again, JUST FABULOUS!
