Dating around the 1880s, this is a Papier Mache snuff box with gold embossed decorative border to the lid. The decoration on the lid shows some worn places. The base has a ridge decoration to the Papier Mache surface and the hinge is in good work condition. Some wear to the front of the box, however for the age, it is in good condition. The little box measures about 2” by 1 ¼.”
