Of good provenance, Made by Mappin & Webb this Pepper Mill has a Peugeot Freres mechanism made by a renowned French company. On the bottom the mechanism reads “Peugeot Freres Revates DG Export” The bar reads “Mappin & Webbs Prince’s Plate London & Sheffield.” It is engraved on the front with “a Lion with a crown over the Lion, over IV, over RGR." Leave untouched as a collector’s item or polish and restore as new. Excellent vintage condition. Measurements approximately: 3 3/8” – Length; 2” in diameter.
