Antique Victorian Onyx Mourning Brooch and Pendant in 18K Yellow Gold

BEAUTIFUL! You can feel history when touching the Brooch Pendant. It was possibly made in France around 1870. A French hallmark of an Owl was used for 18K gold. Very delicate hand made open work with an oval Onyx in the center. The hallmark is on the stick pin and I tried to capture as best as I could. It has the Shepard’s hook for the pendant, and a scroll design to fasten the pin. This piece is in mint condition. Measurements approximately: Length: 1 7/8”; Width: 1”; Weight: 5.6 Grams; Onyx: 2.0 mm by 1.5 mm or about 7/8” by a little over ½”.
