The story of the Phoenix has always fascinated and pleased me. The thought of a magnificent bird, very much like an eagle, rising from ashes is inspiring. This Chinese Hardstone Figure of a Phoenix is depicted resting on a tree, The eyes are a colored stone. This is a large piece, very heavy and substantial, measuring 15 inches tall, and a wing span of over 18 inches across. In Very Good to Excellent Condition. I can find no damage of any kind.
