This is an amazing antique print. It is incredibly detailed, featuring the marriage of the Dauphin. It is a large sheet, 18 inches by 12 and 1/2 inches, including the margins (about 1 and 3/4 inches all around). The edges of the paper are worn, but the center is in Very Good Condition. I purchased an entire collection of antique prints. I have left this as found, despite my impulse to mat it! Preparation a l'eau-forte. Fragment reproduit a la grandeur d' execution." A very kind browser has supplied the following translation: Ok the text is like this: Picture was made by the son of Charles-Nicolas Cochin

DECORATION OF A MASKED BALL given in the night of 25 to 26 February 1745 for the occasion of the marriage of the heir apparent Drawn after natural from the son of Cochin Engraved by Cochin father at 1746 Preparing for Etching. Fragment reproduction in execution size.
