Pictures simply do not do justice to this piece. This incredible Iridescent Baluster Form Vase, attributed to Loetz, with all-over iridescent oil spotting, is something that captivates you. The true masters of art glass, Tiffany, Loetz, Lundberg, and others, have perfected their technique so well that collectors the world over clamor for them. But turn of the century Bohemian art glass deserves special mention. Loetz was the premier Bohemian glass works during this period. It was located in Klostermühle, near Rejštejn in the Sušice district in South-West Bohemia, which belonged to the Austro-Hungarian empire until 1918.
Encouraged by the success of Loetz, numerous other Bohemian manufacturers were active in the production of Art Nouveau glass
It is 10 and 1/2 inches tall, and in Very Good Condition; no chips or cracks. There is a slight irregularity (very small) at the mouth, and 2 small imperfections in the mouth that appear as very slight small glass thicknesses, not uncommon with these hand-blown pieces.
