What a marvelous piece! So unusual to find a Borsato with all the delicate fingers intact; and nothing broken or cracked! One sees many Borsatos with damage (usually minimized in ads) but substantially reducing the value. The individual rendition of each piece can be vastly different from others of the same model, making each one an individual work of art. Antonio Borsato died in an auto accident in 1982, at the height of his recognition as arguably the finest Italian porcelain sculpture of the 20th Century. Collectors around the world love the details; a turn of the head; positions of the fingers. Borsato was never very prolific, so his work, especially the medium and large pieces (some of which required 150 different molds!) is relatively rare. This piece is in Excellent Condition. It measures 10 and 1/4 inches by 6 and 3/4 inches.
