Chinese Intricate Wood Carving, Warrior on Horseback, c 1880-1910

This wonderful piece of Chinese culture was attached to a prize piece of furniture in a home or temple. The piece itself is in incredibly good shape for its age; the bottom is uneven from where it was attached to whatever it had been affixed. It is nearly 5 inches tall and a bit under 3 and a half inches wide. When I had the opportunity to, so many years ago, I bought several pieces, some with a soldier riding a mythological beast. Will be listing other pieces when I can find more time to photograph. I try to give a sampling of the many things we have collected over the years, and welcome requests for items not yet listed.
