I I love well-carved hardstone pieces. This Chinese very elaborately openwork carved, "Honan jade" urn and cover is simply spectacular. It has pheasants and other birds perched among the branches of a large pine, a deer at the foot of the tree. It is difficult to show how massive this piece really is! The top (cover) of the urn has large spreading foliage and birds. I've tried to show how many birds there are. This is in Excellent Condition, and stands 15 inches tall.

This is a large and heavy piece, 6 inches tall, 5 inches across the base, and 5 and 1/2 inches across horn to horn. This is in Very Good Condition, with some expected signs of wear from age. This is quite unusual for me. Normally, I offer little or no erotic art. However, this couple looked so mundane, so straight-laced, that I was shocked when I turned each over and saw their unclothed bottom with specific genital attributes! I couldn't help but laugh, and simply had to buy them! The couple are depicted kneeling: the male in blue robes, the female in red. the underside reveals the unexpected nudity beneath their robes.
