This is one of the most popular wall masks from Bossons, in Congleton, England. However, you will note that this piece Chef's hat appears to be a light yellow instead of a stark white. I do not know if it has changed color due to age or if it was repainted. (If repainted, it was done extremely well). We have really reduced this significantly because of this. Bossons have become more and more sought after. They are still very affordable, and they are certainly very collectible.

Mr. Wilkins Micawber is described in "David Copperfield" as "A jaunty, grandiloquent, recklessly good-natured, improvident man. (The difference between first and second edition is that this Betsey has a pink collar, and the first edition had a lilac collar.) This wonderfully portrayed character wall mask was introduced in two models in 1966. This is the larger of the two, 8 inches high, with authentically portrayed medals for valor on the tunic.
