This is a rare piece that will attract praise, since one almost never sees a cameo with two portraits in profile. This is the first one I had ever seen. I always like to wear a cameo that people really take note of, and this certainly qualifies. The cameo is well carved, and in Excellent Condition. The cameo itself measures 1 and 3/4 inches long and over 1 inch wide; the frame increases the measurements somewhat. This is a fabulous hand-carved shell cameo in a 9 Ct Gold Mount. The Cameo itself is 2" high; the mount measures 2 3/8" high. It has a hallmark on the gold mount, "9" "365" Anchor and "U". The U is a capital italic. It has a safety catch and gold safety chain attached. This is even more beautiful in person.

I don't know why this is, but I have been collecting these cameos for so many years, that this one jumped out at me when I bought it. This lovely lady has a bit more casual hairdo, and a lovely corsage on the shoulder of her gown. The cameo itself is 1 and 1/4 inches long, by nearly 1 inch wide. This lovely cameo has a wonderful deep orange color, and the relief is an off-white color. The detail is quite good, a woman's bust with a grape cluster and leaves in her hair. The bezel is hand scrolled metal with gold wash. Some wear on the outside edge, but the cameo is in Excellent Condition. The entire pin measures almost 1 and 1/2 inches long by over 1 inch wide; the cameo itself measures a bit over 1 inch long by 3/4 inch wide.
