This is one of the four shelf ornaments introduced in 1963, all of which had very limited production. The Himalayan is of Mongolian ancestry, and is depicted wearing the lambskin cap to ward off the cold mountain air. The Himalayan Mountains form a great natural barrier between India and the large plateau of Tibet, and include the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest.
