RARE1800’s Martial Redon Antique Limoges Small Cider Pitcher with Roses. This is one for the Limoges collectors – it is marked with the oldest Martial Redon mark. Numbered and signed by the artist, it is beautifully hand painted with outstanding colors: light to dark green with just a hint of yellow in the background with burgundy and pink roses. Look at the detail of the leaves and roses. This pitcher has a wonderful gold handle jewel handle. This pitcher measures approximately 3 1/2” tall and is approximately 6” wide at the widest point. It was made by the Martial Redon Limoges France factory between 1882 and 1890. The mark is listed in the Collector’s Encyclopedia of Limoges” – Third Edition by Mary Frank Gaston on page 269 (Martial Redon mark 1). Excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
