WOW! Haviland Limoges Marseille Shaped Bowl Roses . Signed and dated by the artist, it is hand painted with wonderful roses all the way around the bowl in BEAUTIFUL DETAIL! The inside rim of the bowl has the most ornate detailing (a gold garland of roses and leaves all in gold!) I have ever seen in all my years of collecting. It is marked with the Haviland France mark indicating it was made between 1894 and 1931 (See Mark 12 on Page 178 in the Collector’s Encyclopedia of Limoges” – Third Edition by Mary Frank Gaston) The background is various shades of greens, from a very beautiful light mint green to a dark green at the bottom of the bowl. This bowl was painted by a very talented artist- the execution is perfect! The pink, yellow and white roses look so real! Measurements: Approximately 9” X 11” and is 3 ¾”tall.
