VERY RARE Triple Marked B &H Limoges Plate with Hand Painted Roses Decorated by the Coiffe Professional Decorators. This plate is highly decorated with very ornate gold work. The roses on this vase are very realistic and very well executed. The details are incredible and indicate it was hand painted by a very talented artist. It is marked with the Blakeman & Henderson (early 1900’s). The mark is listed as mark 1 in the Collector’s Encyclopedia of Limoges” – Third Edition by Mary Frank Gaston on page 58 and the Coiffe Professional Decorated mark ( Mark 3 on page 90 of the same book). It is also mark with an import marking "Wm. Flunrer York PA."Good condition (except for small paint losses on one of the roses and the rose bud and only very minor gold loss) with no chips, cracks or repairs.
