THE BEST OF THE BEST!! RARE Elegant 1800’s Rosewood Renaissance Revival John Jeliff Antique Victorian Tete a Tete Sofa with wonderful large open carved crests that have very well done three dimensional Jenny Lind heads, shaped raised burl with incising, and delicate carvings. The arms have beautifully carved women heads. There are three sections across the back of the tete a tete (“head to head”) sofa with more open pierced carvings that connect the sections. The front aprons are gently curved with burl and more carvings in the centers with nicely turned and tapered feet. The ivory colored upholstery is in like new condition and quite usable without recovering. The wood patina is warm, rich, and original. This sofa has very graceful lines, exceptional carvings throughout, and the frames are sturdy for everyday use.
