This is a wonderfully carved 45" tall plant stand with a nicely moulded 13 1/2" circular top. Under the top is a well done framed rectangular section supported by very nice carved capitols. The circular shaft is very well carved near and at the bottom which is circular and supported on 4 splayed, fluted feet. The stand has a wonderful and very unique form, has been refinished at some point in its life, and is in perfect condition.

This is a very rare form carved oak lion chair with an unusually rare original finish. The chair is 38" high, 34" wide, and 31" deep. The sides are huge well carved winged lions with huge claw feet. The top of the arms and back, as well as the lower skirt and back legs are in their original gold and lacquer patterned finish, the only example of such a finish that I have seen. It must be seen to be fully appreciated. The chair is upholstered in fine burgundy velvet which is in perfect condition.
