Excellent French c.1800 Drawing - Interior Scene

This is a beautiful drawing - ink wash - watercolor of an interior scene dating from the late 1700s to early 1800s. Though the nature of the scene is not precise, it appears that a boy is holding a pair of dueling pistols. It is a very well rendered, evocative work in oval format that looks gorgeous when displayed. The paper support is attached to another sheet and then to a heavier cardboard piece. The actual drawing measures approximately 8.5" x 7.5" (22cm x 19cm) unframed. There are some old restorations that are not readily visible...please see close-up photos. It will make a wonderful addition to the collector of fine European art.
