This is a superb watercolor painting in a Neo-Classical or Empire style dating from the late 18thC to early 19thC. The work depicts a mother with her two children and was created in a monochromatic technique that is truly captivating. It is beautifully framed and under glass. The overall condition appears to be very good, though there are folds and some stains. It measures approximately 9.75" x 16.25" (24.5cm x 41cm) framed and 6" x 13" (15.5cm x 33cm) unframed. It will make a wonderful addition to the collector of fine European art.
