Gorgeous Limoges hand-painted plate depicting two elegant swans drifting across a lake. In the background, an intricate footed urn, overflowing with early spring flowers, rests on a stone wall. The swans are reflected on the peaceful rippling waters and have the yellow, blue, soft lilac, and lavender colors of the early morning sky as a backdrop.

This decorative plate has been expertly hand-painted by ‘Lalane’ (who has signed the face of the plate), and carries the ‘G. D. & Cie, Avenir, Limoges, France’, Mark 2, dating it to the period between 1891 to the early 1900’s.
