SALE Beautiful large hand-painted egg – probably from Bavaria

Porcelain : German, Bavarian, Limoges

 

This appears to be a newer production. Both the ribbon-shaped handle and the three feet are gilded. The lid and the base are tastefully hand-painted with yellow flowers. The hand-painting has been expertly done – starting on the lid and continuing down to the base in one continuous branch.

There is no manufacturer’s mark, but I believe this to be of Bavarian origin. The base has been signed by the artist with ‘Dolores ‘86’.

Both lid and base are in marvelous condition with no chips, nicks, cracks, or repairs.

Dimensions: 7.75 high x 5.75” in diameter.
