SOLD Vintage Early 1900’s British Hallmarked Photo Locket Pendant Sterling 9KT Gold Floral Overlays

This Magnificent Early 1900’s beautifully designed British Photo Locket features a double sided, oval shape measuring 1 1/2” L x 1 1/4” W, created of sterling silver and 9KT Gold Metals. The cover is beautifully worked with Exquisite Tested 9KT Gold Floral Overlays, which have been Hand-Etched with detailed precision. There are (5) layers of 3-dimensional perfection.

There is fine twisted sterling silver wire outlining the overlay design. The large domed bail will accommodate any of your favorite sterling silver or gold chains.

The Locket opens to reveal a 2-sided photo holder for two of your favorite photographs. One of the covers is glass and the other plastic. I would say the glass cover is the original. Both covers are in perfect condition which is so important to completely cover and protect the photos. The frames measure a good size at 1 3/8” Tall x 1 1/8” Wide. This Locket would make A Wonderful Gift for anyone, especially a grandma or mother!

The Locket features a secure working hinge.

Age: Circa 1900

Weight: 15.3 grams which is approximately 1/2 ounce.

Signature/Marks: This work is fully hallmarked with the British Lion, Birmingham Anchor and is Signed by the Artist “J+F.S. The Bail is also marked with the British Lion as is the frame, inside the locket. There is also a Letter inside a shield which cannot be read.

Please note this Locket has not been polished and shows a beautiful glowing patina. If desired you can polish it to a high shine if desired.
