Vintage ALPS Made in Japan Toy Chippy The Chipmunk Battery Operated Original Box Excellent

This is not a reproduction toy. It is a 1950's era toy made by “ALPs” (G.B.C.) in Japan featuring Adorable “Chippy” the Chipmunk that squeaks and begs for that delicious acorn. There is a dangling green & brown acorn that is attached to his mouth. His big eyes also light up! Chippy is battery operated and scoots across the floor, stops for a second - gets on his hind legs to plead for a treat while he makes a squeaking sound.

Measurements: The Total Length including the tail is 13 1/2” long. The body measures 7” Long and the tail measures 6 1/2 Long. At the widest point Chippy measures almost 3 3/4” Wide.

Absolutely free of any rust or corrosion. The battery compartment is perfect with the original insertion card and uses two D Batteries.

Chippy is spotless and all fur is intact. The Original Box is in very good condition. There is a small area with scotch tape, a couple of tears but otherwise the colors are still extremely vibrant. The bottom cardboard box is in excellent condition.
