This Beautiful Antique Victorian - Circa 1890 Mourning Locket is fitted with Onyx and Carnelian in solid (tested) 10KT rose gold and a swivel on the top. Fine, ornate engravings decorate both sides. The bottom shows exquisite scalloped edging. The inside compartments are deep - into which a lock of hair or photograph would have been placed in memory of the lost loved one.

This is a nice sized, impressive locket measuring 1 1/2” x 1” and is sure to be noticed. This locket is the owner’s secret to keep a locket, photo or other memorabilia of a loved one close.

This beautifully engraved locket can be worn two ways. One side has a black onyx oval that consists of (3) layers – the top and bottom are onyx and the center is probably white jade. The reverse has a lovely oval carnelian insert with a top layer of pale lavender agate. The Bale is large enough to accommodate any of your favorite gold chains.

Weight: 8.2 grams

Very good to excellent condition, with the exception of the black onyx side. If you open the locket up you will see 2 chips but fortunately you can only see a tiny portion of one of the chips on the outside and that is very difficult to spot without magnification. I have taken this into consideration when pricing. Please see my photographs.
