SOLD Rare Vintage STRATTON England Compact Josiah Wedgwood White Cameo on Blue Jasperware Mythology

This Fabulous and Rare Vintage Compact can be displayed on a table or vanity as an "Object D’Art". A Beautiful Powder Blue Wedgewood Jasperware Cameo Compact depicting a Cherub/Putti/Angel, reclining on a stone bench holding an arrow in one hand and a floral vine in the other. Two women stand opposite of the Putti, one’s hand on the tip of the arrow.

The highly polished gold compact is circular with scalloped edges, measuring 3 3/8” x 3 3/8”. The Mirror is in perfect condition and retains the original sticker label which reads: “THE CAMEO ON THIS STRATTON PRODUCT is made by Josiah Wedgwood & Sons Ltd.

The powder cake looks like it was used little if at all. The original cellophane protector is present, along with the power puff (which is falling apart) from age, the Elizabeth Arden pink paper insert and the top of the puff also made by Arden.

“Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND” is inscribed on the back of the compact on a petite floral patterned background. Excellent Condition with the exception of a small spot on the back & on the rim. (Please see my photographs).The top of the compact is in Perfect Condition.
