An Ecletic Array of Vintage & Antique Costume Estate Native American & Mexican Jewelry + Accessories & Collectibles
These Rare Highly Collectible Vintage 1950’s Salvador Teran Mexican Taxco Cuff Links feature large Sterling Silver Ovals, measuring 1 1/2” L x 1” W, with Figural Dancers on overlapping planes on an oxidized background, enhancing the design.
The Dancers seem to float above the 2nd plane in a 3-dimensional field. These are rare and desirable works by famed Mexican Artist Salvadore Vaca Teran. Excellent Condition – Age: 1950’s – Marked: “STERLING MEXICO” in circular form and “TAXCO” beneath the circle. Signature: “Taller 159”, which is one of Teran’s Design Numbers. The stamped mark is unreadable.
These Cuff Links have not been polished and have a beautiful patina.
Note: Although Teran’s Name is not visible it very well could be underneath the cuff snap. These Cuff Links are undoubtetly Teran’s Work. RE: Please see page 208 in the “MEXICAN SILVER” Book by Penny C. Morill & Carol A. Berk, where you can view the same design on a Bracelet & Earring Set by Salvadore Teran.
Your Cuff Links will arrive in a custom Twinkle in Time gift box. Thank you for visiting “A Twinkle in Time” Vintage Jewelry & Accessories. Please check “Cindy’s Sales” category for some Great Bargains!
