Vintage Micro-Beaded Floral Tambour French Purse Excellent

This Exquisite hand-made French Purse has the original label sewn on the inside of a fine beige silk moiré lining. The white glass micro beads serve as a background for beautiful tambour embroidery, which depict (3) flowers on the front, 2 more on the side and one on the bottom - Embroidered on Both sides. You could also describe this purse as a tambour needlepoint purse. The petite stitches give a crisp & clean design. Original label reads: “MADE IN FRANCE HAND-MADE”.

Soft colors of camel, gold, taupe, light cherry red and green create the hand embroidered floral motifs. The embroidery is done in recessed areas giving a lovely 3 – Dimensional Appeal to this Beauty. The purse features a patterned metal frame in a bronze tone.

Measurements: 5 1/2” W x 5 1/4” L. The chain handle is 9 1/2” long. The inside lining is in beautiful condition with a few tiny areas that are a bit worn – there are no holes or fraying. The Embroidery is in most excellent condition. There are a few beads missing near the top which I have pointed out in my photographs. Slight rub wear to the frame from normal vintage use. The original tag could use a couple of stitches to hold it firmly in place. This hand made purse is unique unto itself.
