This beautiful vintage butterfly brooch is an unusual presentation of a butterfly featuring a cast sterling silver butterfly form overlaid on sheet silver, with a 6mm x 8mm oval Sleeping Beauty Mine Turquoise cabochon set in a file-worked smooth bezel, with twisted wire outline. The twisted wires set against an oxidized dark background further highlight the butterfly wings. The entire cast surface is applied to sheet surface for added stability. Measurements: 1 5/8” L x 1 1/8” W…Excellent condition – Vintage 1970’s.

We do not polish our sterling silver jewelry but leave that up to the buyer whether or not to preserve the patina; however this piece was polished when I acquired it.
