1950’s Large Vintage MEXICAN Taxco Earrings Abalone Sterling Leaf Screw Backs Exceptional Craftsmanship Signed

These exceptionally well crafted vintage Mexican Earrings absolutely glow with abalone inlay against a background of sterling silver settings and feature a leaf pattern with long stems. Measure 1 1/2” L x 1” W, which is larger than normal for this type of earring. Screw back style which allows you to adjust the earrings to your own personal comfort level and the end of the screw is domed, which allows for greater comfort against the ear. Excellent Condition. Vintage 1950’s – 1960’s.

These earrings are expertly crafted and are sure to incite comments. We do not polish our Sterling Silver Jewelry, leaving that decision to the buyer whether or not to preserve the patina.

Mark/Signature: Marked “HECHO EN MEXICO” and “ALPACA” on one earring & “STERLING TAXCO”, with unreadable initials in circular form, with 925 in the center with the word ALPACA at the spot where the back is soldered to the leaf and an early eagle stamp 3 on the stem on the other. The artist’s initials are worn and illegible.
