Magnificent and Full of Personality this lovely 1940's - 1/20 12K gold-filled ribbon Retro Moderne Brooch is referenced in Nancy N. Schiffer 's Book; "Costume Jewelry, The Fun of Collecting" on page 147- Please keep in mind the prices in this book are 5 yrs old.

The brooch features a large animated bow, showcasing two rhondelles, side by side, channel inlaid with square cut emeralds and clear chaton rhinestones. The brooch measures a stately 2 3/4” L X 1 3/8” W. The brooch is designed with rose gold vermeil over sterling silver. The contrast in metals adds to its beauty and dimension.
