Offers Considered and Shipping Combined!!
About 22 inches by 22 inches (when open), this is a folding wood gameboard from France. It's called a Jeu de Dadas or a Jeu de Petits Chevaux. These used to be played a lot in pubs, or of course by children at home on rainy days. This one is pretty, it's got painted horse-heads, and it comes with four turned-wood shaker cups, four pairs of hand-carved wooden horse's heads (in four colors,) and a set of hand-carved bone dice. They all fit inside the board when it is folded up, or could be stored in a box if the board is to be hung on a wall for decoration: it's that pretty!! Made of ply. It is guaranteed to be circa turn-of-the-century (1800's-1900's) France.
