This is a traditional regional Victorian love-knot ring from Boulogne, a seaport in France. This is the ring a sailor gave to his betrothed to seal their promise. Made of 7 half-rounds entwined with rope, it is hallmarked with the French Eagle's Head for 18K gold, and it weighs 5.22g. It measures a large 11 by 20mm. It is a size 8, in perfect condition, authentic and very elegant.
