Here is a vintage pale yellow cat figurine. The cat is arching his back and instead of having a tail there is an opening for a cactus. A straight cactus would serve as a furry (prickly) tail. At one time raising cactus was all the rage.

This little cat is in good shape. There are a couple stray dots of the black glaze used for the eyes, and one pin dot glaze pop between his eyes. There is an area at the top of the opening where the clay was not finished properly and caused sort of a tag of clay. On the inside of this is a little hole or pinpoint chip. The camera picked up a short hairline on the inside near this area. It does not come through to the top of the clay or curve around under the lip; it is just a surface mark. The manufactures were not real particular about perfection in novelty items and this figurine is a little wobbly as the base is not level.

The cat is approximately 4-3/8in. long. It is 3in. high.
