Vintage 1948 oil on canvas painting by a French artist Gerard Duces. This truly modern piece shows a young girl painted in a very stylized cubist manner. Simplified voluminous shapes, heavy impasto and deep colors create an expressive original painting. Signed with what appears to be "Gerard Duces?, Butry 1948" on back.
