RS Prussia Bowl with flowers and cut-out rim

An early summer bunch of flowers peeks out from this sweet, delicate bowl. This bowl has the Steeple Mark #3 (based on Mary Frank Gaston’s numbering system) and was made in the Steeple Mold #7 (also based on Gaston’s numbers). The wonderful thing about this bowl is the way the rim has been cut out, adding a lacy feel to this piece.

The finish on this bowl is semi-gloss rather than a high gloss, which also adds to the delicate look. The colors are pastel, other than one part which has a fairly dark teal, with a hint of purple in the middle. The small blown out leaves around the rim are painted in light purple and green. A little bit of gold trim accents the rim.

Condition is very good to excellent. There are no chips or cracks. There a few very small, very faint scratches that must be searched for to be seen. There are a couple of ‘dimples’, which happened during manufacture as they are glazed. Measurement is 10 1/2" in diameter and 3” in depth.

This bowl will be shipped in a large box for its protection. Parcel post is a less expensive shipping option.
