For your consideration, a very special bank. This bank was manufactured by The Whitehead and Hoag Company, Newark, New Jersey. It was patented on January 23, 1923. For those of you familiar with the number “23”, this may have significant meaning!

Considering its age, this bank is in marvelous condition. It is undoubtedly one of the most colorful of the celluloid banks, and captures a very detailed image of the Nativity. The reverse expresses some long lost thoughts of what Christmas is meant to be.

There is just the beginning of age signs on the bare metal portion.

This is undoubtedly one of the best examples of this bank available today. Peace!
