We have put many items on sale for Christmas--check us out!
The color of the glass is smoky topaz – more on the smoky than brown side. Quality of the glass itself is very fine, with just a few small bubbles here and there. It measures just under 8 1/2" tall. The top is 6 1/4" by 4 1/4”, while the base measures 4” by 2 3/4". The glass is almost 1/2” thick on the upper part while the base is solid glass, making this a substantial and heavy piece.
The edges of the rim and bottom edge of the base are beveled and polished. The lines on this piece are just fantastic.
Condition is excellent for a piece of glass that dates to the 1930s. There is a fine scratch on one panel, and some more obvious scratching on the base (as can be seen in the photos). One top corner has the tiniest fleabite – we attempted to photograph it, but it is so small that couldn’t get it to show up in the pictures.
Although unmarked, this vase was obviously made by a company that took great care with craftsmanship and quality.
This impressive and elegant vase is waiting for the perfect spot in which to be displayed – possibly in your home? Or maybe the next step in its life is within a Christmas package… waiting to be opened by that special someone?
