We have put many items on sale for Christmas--check us out!
Times were much simpler in the ‘20s, and children could be entertained by very simple toys. This toy would have cost a penny and was sold on the streets of major European and American cities. Can you see a vendor hawking toys on a street corner today?
This alligator is in very good condition. The head moves about 90 degrees to the left and to the right, and is well balanced. The toy is marked “Germany” between the front legs. The tail also moves about 30 degrees.
There is a spot of wear on his/her head and near his/her right hind wheel. Like all of the bare metal toys of this era there is rust on the underside. Maybe someone rubbed her (we’ve decided it’s a she) belly to cause the corrosion and put her to sleep.
You can wake this little gal up for only $115. That’s only 11,500 pennies!
